The Fully Worked Helix Builder sets the whole head of your piece in intricate color patterns. Pick one of eight color schemes and Boxfan works it through the head by hand, line by line, at the torch. Then build the rest your way.

Built by the man who invented the Helix

Boxfan has been at the torch for nearly 30 years. He was one of the original 24 Snodgrass apprentices. He founded The Flow, a journal for glassblowers, in 2002. And he invented the Helix and its patented air-cooled technology.

Our everyday Classics are made to Boxfan’s design. Builder pieces are made by Boxfan, one-of-a-kind, and carry his fired-on Boxfan decal.

What you choose in the Fully Worked Helix Builder

1. Size: Micro 4.5″, Mini 5.5″ or OG 6.5″
2. Color scheme for the head: American Beauty, Bi Polar, Fire Water, Grape Fire, Rainbow Dichroic, Sunshine Daydream, Tribal Fire or Tuxedo
3. Decal color: black, orange, green, blue or white, or gold, platinum or glow in the dark
4. Colored dots
5. Horns: none, one large horn, or a matched pair. A fully worked head carries one horn best.
6. Marble: Gilson opal, dichroic galaxy or Helix logo dichroic. Two matching horns leave room for one marble.
