There’s one of these. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
What you’re looking at
- The head. Fully worked in Rainbow/Cobalt Dichroic. Deep cobalt blue runs through the whole head, with rainbow dichroic flecked all through it, so it flashes pink, gold and green as it turns.
- The dichroic. Dichroic means “two colors”: one in the light that bounces off, another in the light that passes through. NASA used this coating on astronaut visors to keep the sun out of their eyes on spacewalks.
- The magnifiers. Three large clear magnifiers set on the head. They pull the dichroic up close.
- The horn. One large horn, cobalt blue spiraling down through clear glass, curling off the side of the head.
- The opal. A dark green fire opal, set in clear glass where the horn meets the head.
- The carb. An extended carb, finished in pale blue, set a little farther from the bowl so it’s easy to find and easy to use.
- The decal. A 24K gold decal, fired on, with the Helix Signature Series mark.
